Month of March Recap!
MarchCOVER.png

Whooo! I can't believe it's been a whole nother month! March was lovely. I stayed super busy and knocked out a HUGE amount of work, printed and created all the patreon physical rewards and mailed those out, as well as set up a pretty solid shop update! We hit this month hard with streaming on twitch! Almost 40 hours of hanging out. I also teamed up with my best friend Rage (creator of the Skylark comic on Webtoon) for the very first time and did a ton of hang out streams, where we each did our own art, but hung out on chat. I think it was a bit more entertaining, and offered a more collaborative atmosphere.

This month I shared and worked on a TON of D&D content for clients. This was the month of party portraits! We completed and shared three larger groups covering a wide span of characters and classes. A few smaller (in comparison) works featuring couples and solo characters! AND my ever favorite Teagan (my cat) riding a Dragon! That is a sticker on my website as well as included as a coloring page in the downloadable/printable coloring book I put together on the shop. These were all really fun and pushed my hand in so many different ways.

This month we also slammed through physical goods and rewards! With the shop update in the middle of the month I had launched a playmat/game mat preorder for the "Summer with the Squire" artwork, that is still up for purchase. We also had a big range of commission prints find their forever homes as well!

I also printed and put together over 25 pieces of sticker and print mail for all of the Patreon rewards! Those of you should have received them or should be shortly! 🥰 That was the absolute LARGEST fulfillment I've had to do and it was so exciting. There was so much pride and love put into those envelopes. For the first time ever, I also took the extra time to record video of me making the stickers and packing everything up! The videos are currently all edited with music and such, and just need a bit more polish before I upload them here, so you will be able to see me (and teagan) pack those up!

Aside from art and packing things this month, we also hit my goal of getting 25+ patrons! I AM SO THANKFUL FOR ALL OF YOU! I wanna thank you all so much for being here! Here's to a happy nother month full of art and shenanigans! 🧡

Month of February Recap!
FEBCOVER.png

It’s time for a Monthly recap! This is brand new post style and is also the very first one! So don't be worried that you may have never seen them before. This is something I would like to continue moving forward through the year! At the end of each month, in my personal admin keeping, I have to create backups and save files for my work, and in some way I end up doing a bit of visual reflection on what I had been able to complete in the time allotted during the month. I figured I would compile a few images from the month and share some of those same thoughts with y'all. Also that being said, I would hope these would be more interesting once things open up and I can vlog/photograph and go on more adventures.

Ultimately February flew by so fast and I unanimously have so much to show for it and also so little to show. Ahahah.

I spent the earlier parts of the month getting back into my regular workflow after a few stints of burnout and seasonal depression. While dealing with that, I still got to partner with a ton of great people and help create a ton of great personal and gift commissions as well as some bigger and more commercial projects.

In that same time, all of my D&D campaigns am in have been ramping up or went into full swing. So a ton more of my warm up/cool down sketches have revolved around recreating narrative snippets from those campaigns. Peris, Hathdee, and Vasha and Vasili experienced a great amount of loss and growth this month. The game recaps that come with these images will be posted shortly as I organize my game notes!

Pieris working on forging a wheelchair rig to assist an NPC. Hathdee attempting to resuscitate an NPC who sacrificed themselves to save the party. Vasha and Vasili parting ways after a very brutal combat.

This month we also explored this quarters Patreon rewards, which you can still get if you sign up or edit your pledge before the 12th, (or If you would like to request a different print size to be sent, let me know). With the artwork, we got to explore my take on the Hylas and the Water Nymphs painting by Henrietta Rae! This piece was one of the first full 11x17" pieces I have done in a ridiculously long time and have spent about a full 23 hours painting this. The full time lapse video and extras are available while I go into production to finish the orders/shipments at the in the next two weeks!

This month was all about getting back into the swing and finding my vibe again. I think I am in a completely better space than I was at the start of the month and I am very very thankful for what I got to create in this new step. I already have a ton of stuff that is carrying over from February into March, and I can't wait to hit the ground running to offer you all more work.

For the back end of March, perhaps the 17th, I have soft plans for a big spring art shop update. Currently looking to add some new stickers, signed art prints, tote bags/pillows/masks, and a downloadable/printable coloring book. I'll have more updates on that as it gets closer and as I prep the files. But I am so stoked to have another good month under my belt and hopefully keep on with the momentum as the spring weather comes in.

One Year of Patreon! + Plans for the new year!
1 (18).png

Goblin Sara returns for another terrible doodle.
As I am typing this (very late night on January 4th) it is my one year anniversary on Patreon! I launched this with a lot of weird plans and no idea what I was doing. I think I was posting mainly grey scale sketch work and dungeons and dragons doodles. It's so odd now to see all the structured posts and projects, videos, and full coverage on commissions.

I want to give a special thank you to my lovely patrons Tim Butterbeard and Cap for being here for the ENTIRE YEAR. Like hot damn, since day one, before I had any real posts even. The support you guys have shown and your presence in the community here this year has been so great. I am forever thankful for you guys and I hope I didn't disappoint. 🧡

So I recently took a few days off after the holiday commission rush and crash. These are never real days off, more like commission-less days where I ignore emails and responsibilities while attempting to over-snack my poor mortal body and conjure new plans. This time I was a bit overwhelmed with the general possibilities, and really needed to do a big brain dump.

I have an artist friend and local professional brain organizer that runs workshops for something called life mapping, which you take giant pieces of paper and write out literally every aspect of your life and make a big ol map. I've never taken her course (looked into it as the pandemic started) So here is my attempt after scouring her website and trying to unlock some of the concepts and methods behind it. These dumps or maps can cover business ideas and concepts, health goals, relationships and way more. It's mostly an exercise to self reflect and knock stuff loose and really get it all out there as a tangible thing.

I did a really modified version, to help me think through my own racing business brain, casually focusing on loose social media plans, products and new content and art/technique goals. The gentle brushing of the marker on the huge craft paper also soothed my soul and was a nice little treat during the process. I'm in no way an ASMR person but boy was it lushious.

With these little scrolls I've made I hope to create themes for myself. No huge goals or solid concrete plans. If anything, I want them to be little steps forward, as if I hit a block or get stuck and I simply come back to these initial concepts and refocus or respark something.

Some of these concepts include creating a higher caliber of content for you all on here and on my general social medias. Videos, timelapses with voice overs, casual vlog check-ins even. Simple quality of life upgrades and things that will hopefully reap a higher level of connection to my work. Some of these include me doing a monthly recap blog, as I am to review the actual art, reflect from the month and share a few extra tidbits and insight along the way.

I also have a scroll dedicated to ideas for expansions on products. The end goal is to create a solid amount of content and work to eventually bring to renaissance fairs and conventions.

I have custom commissionable RPG character lapel pins on deck, as well as other Table top RPG game assets and accessories in the work, including printable decorated character sheets and journal/planner/game note stickers.

I also have a 20 page coloring book on deck featuring completed linework from a ton of this year as well as including a few older hits.

The current 85 page 2019-2020 PDF art book still needs an overhaul to add the last 6 months of artwork. I am hoping to manufacture and launch that art book in Q1 of this year. I shall share any and all progression on that front, and I will probably stream the curation and page creation in the discord while I do so. Having a look at how productive the last few months where, this book is easily going to crack 150 pages of art, concepts and sketches.

It's all really really loose, but that's how it's gotta be. 2021's gunna be wild, it's gunna be crazy, and I'm gunna take it one day at a time.  Because that is literally all I can do. But thank you all so much for hanging around. I hope I can give you another year of rad art and comics, and continue to make work that you are excited to see.
